Vigil for the Pigs – AVA Edition

Don’t turn away.

Please join us to bear witness to, and to speak up for the thousands of baby pigs whose lives are needlessly and violently stolen from them daily at Fearmans slaughterhouse.

This event will take place rain or shine.

Time: 8am – 10am
Location: Fearmans Pork Inc. at the northeast corner of Appleby Line and Harvester Road, a short walk from Appleby GO station.

Parking is available in the Tim Hortons parking lot.

Please read these vigil and safety notes prior to attending.
☮️ Keep Save Movement vigils peaceful.
1) The purpose of Save Movement vigils is to bear witness, to see the reality, to connect, to document, then to share with others. To bring peace to a violent space.
2) This is a love-based action. All communications with the public, law enforcement, drivers and slaughterhouse workers are peaceful and positive.
3) Safety vests will be provided and must be worn be each attendee.
4) Placards and signage will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own love-based signage.
5) Touching of the animals and/or trucks is prohibited by law. You are welcome to speak words of kindness to the pigs, or sing to them. Filming is permitted, in accordance with ASM Safety Rules.
6) Stopping of slaughterhouse trucks or interfering with the movement of these trucks is not permitted under any circumstances.
