Summer Fun at Christie Pits Park

June 22 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

In celebration of the SUMMER SOLSTICE, PRIDE and INDIGENOUS MONTH, let’s have a special gathering!

We are joining forces with BARK & MEOW Pet Supplies for an afternoon of art, games, picnic and plant based dog food samples!

Bring your ART, old NOTES with loose thoughts, PHOTOGRAPHY, and whatever you feel like – to share stories!

We have some clothing to share and colouring books available for PAINTING – no previous experience required!

If you have any percussion, instruments, singing bowls or bells, bring them so we can create a healing DRUM CIRCLE.

We will have a speaker and a microphone. Bring your best tunes so we can DANCE and your POETRY or SONGS to sing!

We will also have a couple of tables, so you can display items to SHARE, EXCHANGE, sell, or to GIVE away.

Totally optional, but highly encouraged for you to bring your favourite plant-based food for a PICNIC!

Dress comfortably so we can PLAY and enjoy a guided mindful MOVEMENT session with one of our friends.

Please bring a mat, blanket or beach towel if you have so we can display our art, sit for sharing stories and much more!

Join us at your convenience, any time between 2pm and 6pm. Please visit our SIGNUP TABLE so we get to know you better!

We will invite you to enter a fundraising DRAW for a small gift. Bark & Meow is supplying you FREE dog and cat FOOD SAMPLES!

– We are ethical vegans and activists, so we kindly ask you to be mindful with language and please refrain from bringing any products or by-products from the commodification and objectification of animals bodies, including all genders, sizes, species, so we can co-create a safe and just space for all.
– Drinks and food wrapped in single use plastic is also highly discouraged. Please use reusable containers, cups and cutlery when possible. Thank you!

Radical FREEDOM and LOVE for ALL!!!

**If you’d like to do a break out session, have a scheduled time on the mic, offer a presentation, yoga class, read out some poetry or anything your heart calls to, don’t hesitate to reach out to Taty Melo (xtatyx), one of the co-hosts listed on the FB event page.

***We are doing our best and this is a community event! So feel free to take on some leads and organize however you’d like!
