Panelists:
Jennifer Jacquet, Professor of Environmental Science and Policy at the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, University of Miami. She is the author of The Playbook: How to Deny Science, Sell Lies, and Make a Killing in the Corporate World, and co-author of the studies: “The climate responsibilities of industrial meat and dairy producers” and “The animal agriculture industry, US universities, and the obstruction of climate understanding and policy.”
Dr. Tushar Mehta practices family, emergency, and addiction medicine in Toronto. He is the co-founder of Plant-Based Data and a board director at the international hunger relief and food security organization, A Well-Fed World.
Jason Hannan, Associate Professor in the Department of Rhetoric, Writing, and Communications, University of Winnipeg. He is the editor of Meatsplaining: The Animal Agriculture Industry and the Rhetoric of Denial.
Kenny Torrella, staff writer for Vox Media’s Future Perfect section and author of the Vox newsletter, Meat/Less. He reports on animal agriculture and the future of meat.
