Santa, Elves & Candy Canes for Cage-Free Hens!

This holiday season, Mercy For Animals volunteers are spreading joy and raising our voices for hens still stuck in cages! In 2016, Sobeys and their parent company, Empire, promised to stop sourcing eggs from caged hens by 2025. But in 2021, they retracted that commitment—and we’re here to remind them that the hens are still waiting!
🎅 Come celebrate the season with us while making a difference:
• Sing Christmas carols 🎶
• Hand out candy canes 🍬
• Wave banners and signs ✨
• Share cheerful leaflets with holiday shoppers 🎁
• Santa Claus and his elves will be there spreading holiday cheer! 🎅🧝♂️
Bring yourself, bring a friend, and let’s spread holiday cheer while urging Sobeys to publish a clear, time-bound plan to eliminate extreme confinement for hens in their egg supply chain.Imagine Santa, his elves, singing carols and handing out candy canes… all while giving a voice to the chickens! 💚 It’s a merry day of fun, festive spirit, and meaningful action. 🎄
