New Year’s Day – Polarbear Plunge. Let’s swim at mid-day, and each save a tree.
January 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
An event to promote Veganuary, the Plant Based Treaty and to help save the beech and the trees at Ontario Place.
Polarbear Plunge. Let’s swim at mid-day, and each save a tree.
Join us for a polar plunge and raise awareness about Ontario Place and the natural beauty of nature, Michael Hough Forest and Michael Hough Beach.
World-famous filmmaker Ali Weinstein will document the event, and we’ll also have underwater videographer Steve Mann doing underwater virtual / augmented / eXtended reality (XR) video. You can get a really awesome underwater profile picture if you’re prepared to dunk your head into the water. For some examples, see SwimOP.com
Stranger things are happening, no stranger would it be,
If we swam at mid——day, and each saved a tree.
We each swim at our own risk, as individuals, Enter slowly, watch for rocks, watch your head, dress extra warm, bring spare towels to stand on and also to dry off. Never swim alone. Know your limit and stay withinit.
