Calling All Vegans live taping
May 28, 2018 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Calling all vegans! Please join us at a live taping of — you guessed it! — “Calling All Vegans”, co-hosted by Hugh Reilly and Sue Spahr…a weekly Internet show aimed at raising awareness about animal issues as well as supporting, celebrating, and getting to know the people who run vegan businesses, perform animal rescue and operate sanctuaries, grassroots activist groups effecting change, etc. Individuals who are thought-provoking, inspirational, entertaining…each of them making a positive social impact, living and working ethically and in alignment with their moral compass. You can also watch the live stream commencing at 1:00 EST on ThatChannel.com (but no free popcorn if you do it that way!).
If you have show ideas, guest suggestions, or would like to promote your own vegan venture, please contact me. Let’s use this vehicle to advance the animal rights movement and bolster the quickly-growing vegan community!

Coming up this Monday, May 28th: Yan Piebird and Sherry Milford O’Piebird from Piebird Farm Sanctuary / Vegan Farmstay will be visiting us via Skype to talk about the heartwarming tale of goat-friend, Sunshine, targeted by, but finally safe from the clutches of, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and their odious “scrapie eradication program”, building homes for turkey-friends, along with how one can be “part of the Peace that is Piebird” and support their wonderful sanctuary. Another Skyper, Matt Simpson-music, Irish musician and video producer, now living in Amsterdam, will be on hand to tell us what’s the craic, talk about the animal rights scene in Amsterdam, and discuss his band, 40 Meters Away (a link to their new tune, “Days Go Bye”, is clickable down below).Emma Hawley-Yan will be responsible for both holding down the other end of the couch and speaking about her efforts to open young eyes, minds, and hearts through her vegan outreach presentations in Greater Toronto Area high schools, her involvement with the UW Campus Market Garden and her funky creations (I am the proud “mommy” of some of her delightful works!) via family venture, OnDragonWingsStudio – Shelly, Emma & Connor Hawley-Yan. And come meet Mr. Sue Spahr, fresh off the plane from Ireland. 🙂
Last week, we were delighted to speak with Dr. Julie Chan, owner of Dr. Julie Chan, ND, RAc at Liberty Wellness Clinic in Markham and founder of Peace Fur Paws – Creating Change for Animals, Mathilda Irawan of Alam Catering and Alam Yoga and Wellness, Ray Cruzzola of Vegan AF Productions (link to the trailer for his inspiring vegan activist video series is down below), AP Bosse (seasoned outreacher) of the Toronto chapter of Anonymous for the Voiceless, AV: Toronto, Canada
