Behind the Labels: Fighting Greenwashing & Humanewashing

AEL Advocacy’s Kira Berkeley and Krystal-Anne Roussel, along with Animal Protection Party of Canada’s Adam Clasky, will teach us how to push back against dangerous deceptive marketing and ads designed to make consumers believe they’re buying ethically and sustainably.
They’ll give a rundown of their new report, Behind the Labels to help you spot false certifications, misleading imagery, and unsubstantiated claims from companies. They’ll also take us through their Consumer Action Toolkit and step-by-step instructions for filing consumer complaints to the Competition Bureau and Ad Standards.
