SUMMARY:World Meditation Day for Farmed Animals
DESCRIPTION:This group meditation will be held on the eve of the winter solstice\, and is intended for those who want to raise the energy of the planet\, do good deeds and help protect animals used predominantly for food. The goal is to reduce violence against other sentient beings and stop the exploitation of non-human animals.\n🐷🐮🐥 \nWe will practice meditation developed by Australian healers Ann Kennedy and Catherine Ligato\, in the form of directing heart energy towards animals found in the meat and dairy industries\, as well as in other places where there is suffering and low vibration\, such as slaughterhouses. In this way\, we want to raise the awareness of people around the world and bring them to compassion\, empathy and unity with all living sentient beings.\n💚\nThis will also be an opportunity for vegans and vegetarians in transition to support each other and help each other.\nThe practice is similar to that of animal rights activists at group gatherings. If there is no time for meditation\, then honor is given to the fallen animals in the form of minutes of silence.\nThe event is free and practiced at home. Everyone sends love the way they think they should. \n➡️ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞? ⬅️\nMeditation is a natural process of observing one’s own mind. Just as the eyes\, in order to see themselves\, need a mirror\, so the spirit\, in order to become aware of its deepest nature\, needs a method that enables it to do so. \nMeditation is also healthy. It has been scientifically proven to improve heart function\, lower high blood pressure\, boost immunity and serotonin (hormone of happiness)\, which makes us feel satisfied and positive. It also helps getting rid of accumulated mental toxins.\n🧘‍♀️🧘 \nThe power of group meditation is especially precious. Research has shown that if a certain number of people meditate together\, it raises vibrations globally and leads to increased peace worldwide and to overall progress. Around 8000 people need to meditate at the same time in order to make that happen. \nExperiments were done in the 1980s\, when so many people gathered in Jerusalem\, during the war in Lebanon. The event was monitored by an independent American RAND corporation that conducts statistics in war-affected areas. On the day they meditated\, the death toll dropped by about 70 percent. The experiment was repeated several times so far\, and each time the results were similar\, both in terms of reduced mortality\, terrorist attacks\, number of accidents and violence in general. \nThe explanation given by scientists for this phenomenon is that there is a kind of field through which our thoughts and emotions spread\, and through which we influence each other. It has been noticed that there is a connection between a person’s psychological state and their energy state\, i.e. their corresponding aura. When a person thinks positively and feels good\, the aura grows. When one feels bad and thinks negatively\, the aura shrinks. The aura level can be felt by hand or recorded with special equipment (Kirlian photography\, GDV camera\, PHP camera). \nDuring meditation\, a state of peace is created and the aura grows dramatically. The group meditation is very powerful because of interactivity. The more people involved in it\, the exponentially stronger the effect. \nWhen several thousand people meditate together\, a huge amount of energy is created that spreads all over the Earth and to each person\, or to the aura of each individual\, which changes his/her own psychological state. Therefore\, the power of group meditation\, especially regarding the response of maximum possible amount of people included\, is of crucial importance.\n🕉 \nThis was also explained by the famous Swiss psychiatrist Karl Jung\, who claimed that there are common properties of human mind in general\, which may be perceived as the collective unconscious. As a social group\, we inherit certain meanings (archetypes) that affect our behavior and emotions. The idea of the collective unconscious reflects many of the deepest human instincts: love\, fear\, social projection\, wisdom\, but also good and bad manner. \nJung recognized the potential of personality development by illuminating and understanding such inner aspirations\, and for the benefit of all mankind\, from individual to collective treatment. He believed that our mental energy changes over time\, so he wanted to help people build an authentic and healthy personality in which archetypes can function in harmony. \nThe group meditation is one way to realize that goals. \n#meditation #animals #empathy #love #liberation #animalliberation #animalprotection #vegan #veganism \nNote: Please check the Facebook event page for updates.

SUMMARY:AR Chats @ Wishbone - January 10\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Come join with other like-minded and like-hearted people to chat\, brainstorm\, and strategize about standing up for the animals! \nOn the agenda: Along with general discussion about getting animal-active\, we’re hitting the ground running to plan this year’s Toronto Animal Rights March being held in May! \nAfterwards we will head to City Hall to promote Veganuary\, please join us! \nZoom link available. Contact Jenny McQueen\, Colleen Burns\, or Sue Spahr for details. \nA few details about AR Chats @Wishbone:\nWhether you’re a seasoned advocate or someone new to the scene\, this is a judgment-free\, no-pressure environment that welcomes every idea and supports every comfort level. Because each person is uniquely wired and different tactics resonate with different people\, there’s no one foolproof form of activism. \nAfter each session\, attendees are encouraged to participate in a street action to put your new skills and energy into practice (this is totally voluntary\, no pressure). And sometimes homework will be assigned and due for discussion at the next scheduled meeting. \nSome attend one week\, but can’t come to the next one…just attend when you can. \nPlease feel free to bring a plant-based food item to share. \nLet’s return Toronto and other cities in Ontario to the thriving\, prolific animal activism centres they once were! \nAs the building that houses Wishbone is a heritage building boasting one of the last attendant-operated elevators in the city of Toronto (but only during weekday office hours)\, Wishbone will unfortunately not be accessible to anyone requiring a lift to the third floor. Our apologies in advance for this inconvenience. \nWishbone Animal Rights Lab…where vegan is the default\, NOT the option. \nNote: Please check the Facebook event page for updates.

SUMMARY:Sobey's Free the Hens This Valentine's
DESCRIPTION:Valentine’s Day Action for Hens 🐓❤️ \nDemand Sobeys Publish a Time-Bound Cage-Free Plan 📢🕊️ \nJoin Mercy For Animals volunteers this Valentine’s Day 💘 to stand up for love\, compassion\, and the millions of hens still trapped in cages in Sobeys’ egg supply chain 🐔💔. We are urging Sobeys to publish a clear\, time-bound plan 🗓️ to fulfill their long-overdue promise to eliminate extreme confinement for hens — a promise first made in 2016. \nIn 2016\, Sobeys and their parent company\, Empire 🏢\, publicly pledged to stop sourcing eggs from caged hens by 2025 🐓✅. Years later\, despite ruling some of Canada’s largest and most profitable grocery brands 💰 Empire removed that deadline in 2021 ⏳❌\, leaving hens in prolonged suffering 🐔💔. \nSobeys promised an updated plan 📝 — but has still not shared how or when they will complete this transition 🚫🐓.\nThis Valentine’s Day 💖\, we’re calling on Mr. Pierre Saint-Laurent\, CEO of Sobeys 👔\, to use his position of power 💪 to put love into action — to publish a time-bound plan 🗓️ and finally let the hens out of cages 🐓🌱. Love isn’t just a feeling — it’s compassion in action 💚✨. \nWhen: Friday\, February 14\, 2026 📅\nTime: 1:00 PM ⏰\nWhere: Sobeys – 24 Fort York Blvd\, Toronto\, ON M5V\, Canada 📍 \nWe’ll be there with banners\, signs\, and leaflets 📣🖌️ to inform the public and hold Sobeys accountable to their own promise ✅🐓.\nBring yourself — and bonus if you bring a friend! 👯‍♀️💚 \nIf you have any questions\, feel free to message me on Facebook 💬 or email animalsmatter@hotmail.com 📧. \nLearn about our current Canadian campaign here: https://empireofgreed.ca \nBy attending this and other Mercy For Animals events\, you agree to our Volunteer Terms (https://mercyforanimals.org/volunteer-terms/) and Volunteer Handbook (https://file-cdn.mercyforanimals.org/…/MFA-Volunteer…). \nThank you\,\nKelli Demontneay 🐓❤️🌱 \nNote: Please check the Facebook event page for updates.
