DESCRIPTION:Sobeys is a “Proud Sponsor” of the Blue Jays for giveaways\, posts\, etc. \nThey have been in partnership and boasted this for years. \nThe Blue Jays games are highly attended and offer a perfect opportunity for us to raise awareness amongst a large audience.\nWe will be targeting the Rogers Centre as it located very close to the Sobeys location we’ve been targeting most heavily with demos and tactics!” \nJoin Mercy For Animals volunteers to demand Sobeys to publish a time-bound plan for fulfilling their pledge to eliminate extreme confinement for hens in their egg supply chain. \nIn 2016\, Sobeys and their parent company\, Empire\, publicly promised to stop sourcing eggs from caged hens by 2025. \nYears later\, despite ruling over some of Canada’s largest and most profitable grocery brands\, Empire retracted their commitment deadline in 2021\, stating that they would not meet their original deadline. \nSobeys promised to publish an updated plan for finishing their transition but has yet to share how and when they plan to fulfill their cage-free promise. \nWe’re urging Sobeys to publish a time-bound plan for fulfilling their pledge to eliminate extreme confinement for hens in their egg supply chain. \nLearn about our current Canadian campaign here: https://empireofgreed.ca \nWe will be at Rogers Centre\,1 Blue Jays Way\,Toronto\, ON M5V 1J1. SUMMARY:Bryan Adams Concert - Vegan Outreach
DESCRIPTION:Bryan Adams\, the iconic Canadian rocker\, has been a famous vegan for over 35 years. Many times during his career\, Bryan has actively spoken out on behalf of all animals. \nPlease join us to do a friendly vegan outreach to fans arriving for his concert. We will be handing out free Sweets From The Earth cookies and vegan/AR information. We have both printed and homemade signs relating specifically to Bryan\, but please feel free to bring your own. This is an independent grassroots event. \nThe printed signs will be available to be donated after the event\, so let us know if you want one\, or know of someone who would. \n“I’m not for the killing of any creature – whether it be seals\, cows\, dogs\, anything.” – Bryan Adams \nTogether\, we can help fans be vegan like Bryan.
