SUMMARY:Toronto Pig Save weekly vigil for the Pigs
DESCRIPTION:Don’t turn away. Please join us to bear witness to\, and to speak up for\, the thousands of baby pigs whose lives are needlessly and violently stolen from them daily at Fearman’s slaughterhouses. \nPlacards\, leaflets\, support are provided.\n——————————- \nPlease read these vigil and safety notes prior to attending. \n☮️ Keeping Save Movement vigils peaceful. \n1) The purpose of Save Movement vigils is to bear witness\, to see the reality\, to connect\, to document\, then to share with others. To bring peace to a violent space. Disruptions can take place at a different time. \n2) Truck Drivers:\nThough we don’t respect what they are doing for a living\, let’s respect the drivers for giving us this time to show the world the plight of farmed animals. \n3) Slaughterhouse Workers:\nSome workers may try to taunt (though rarely anymore). Offer a wave or peace sign instead of a negative reaction. Break the cycle of violence. \n????‍ Keep Arms out of the truck: \nWe’ve experienced a few serious injuries from vigil attendees putting hands/arms into the truck. Please avoid the temptation to reach inside for the following reasons: \n1) The truck may suddenly move\, trapping/taking you with it. \n2) Pigs are extremely large and heavy beings. Though they may not intend to hurt\, a human arm may frighten them and simple movement can crush or break bones. Instead\, offer your hand just at the opening of the truck. Some pigs will choose to come to you and sniff/lick your hand. \n3) Fear. Many of these beings have not known kind human hands in the past. This may cause them stress. \n❤️????❤️ Thank you for your understanding and for coming to bear witness and to be their voice. Please bring a friend. They desperately need you.

SUMMARY:Mass email campaign against glue traps
DESCRIPTION:Home Depot\, the biggest home improvement retailer based in North America has continued to sell glue traps on their website and in many of their 2000+ stores despite many other companies dropping these “products.” \nTo be as strategic and impactful as we can be with our time and efforts\, it was decided to focus on their new company\, SRS Distribution. \nIt has come to our attention\, with quotes from company leaders that this new company is what Home Depot believes will give them a “competitive advantage” and bring in significant money. \nSpeak up for some of our smallest animal friends by joining this mass emailing event to the SRS Distribution CEO and other company figures! \nCampaing Link (will be active during campaign): https://www.drove.com/campaign/670c3219dc304ac2b670c55c

SUMMARY:DELAYED Court Rally for Jenny McQueen re CNE Protest
DESCRIPTION:Delayed! Lawyer Gary Grill has said he’s still waiting on the evidence – so the court date of the 23rd will be merely administrative – and he won’t be there in person. \nThere’s really no benefit in anyone making an effort and coming in person on Wednesday. \nJenny and Peter are planning on dropping by at 11am to acknowledge the order to appear – and the frustrations of the Canadian legal system. \nBackground:\nOn August 18th\, animal rights activist Jenny McQueen was arrested\, while trying to protest at the FARM building inside the Canadian National Exhibition – aka the CNE’s “Ex”.\nThe criminal charge is “disobey lawful order of court”. Lawyer Gary Grill has agreed to argue this charge. \nNote: Please check the Facebook event page for updates.
