SUMMARY:The Art of Kindness: Celebrating Vegan Creative Juice (featuring John Sakars)
DESCRIPTION:We have been bursting to share the news that Wishbone Animal Rights Lab will be holding its first-ever vegan art exhibit\, number one in a series of monthly rotating shows. And who better to take this inaugural step with us than the kind\, humble\, genuine\, and talented John Sakars! \nBoth whimsical and profound at the same time\, John’s art is not only eye-candy and eye-catching\, but it will touch your heart deeply and give you food for thought. \nAt least 50 of his pieces will be on display at The Lab from June 29th through the entire month of July. Originals and prints are available for sale\, and John has graciously and generously offered for this event to double as a fundraiser for Wishbone. \nPlease join us at this reception to kick off the show\, meet the artist himself\, and to celebrate John’s wonderful works. \nDon’t miss this opportunity to take home your very own “John Sakars”! \nPlant-based food and beverages available. \nFYI: Wishbone Animal Rights Lab is located within a heritage building that houses one of Toronto’s last remaining attendant-operated elevators. However\, outside of regular weekday office hours\, booking the lift requires an hourly fee to be paid. For attendees needing such assistance to the 3rd floor during this event\, we will be providing this service within a designated timeframe. Further details to be provided shortly. \nThe Lab is a volunteer-run\, largely self-funded initiative. SUMMARY:Vegan Thanksgiving (VeganGiving) and Karaoke
DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for someone to share Thanksgiving with\, or do you just like to share great food and company? Then this is your event! We will all bring a dish (Google sheet to come)\, watch a movie\, and afterwards sing some karaoke. BYOB if you would like. \nWould be lovely to be able to raise some funds to provide artists such as VEFO and others the tools to perform\, and store them at the Lab.
