DESCRIPTION:Help us ban the serving of Foie Gras in Toronto Restaurants and eventually the farming of geese and ducks for the purpose of creating Foie Gras. \nWe are currently in talks with this restaurant\, Lucie. We are still waiting on a positive response from the owner of Lucie Restaurant. As of now they are refusing to stop selling foie gras. So we must continue to attend these protests! DESCRIPTION:Join us outside the CNE aka The Ex aka The Canadian National Exhibition- in Toronto\, to protest their continued operation of the “FARM” building\, where they display animals like widgets. \nThey don’t mention anything about the slaughter process\, about intensive confinement\, about the environmental destruction caused by animal ag\, the dangers of zoonotic disease\, or the the fact animal protein is NOT necessary. The benefits of a vegan lifestyle? Nowhere within the exhibition. \nThis awful display of live animals needs shutting down. Already no chickens are on display\, nor turkeys due to avian flu\, a virus that is dangerously spreading to other mammals. \nSign the petition to close the FARM: https://c.org/qHHWKkMVMx \nThis will be a peaceful demonstration. Signs will be provided but feel free to get creative.
