The We The Free Diamond is a peaceful, static demonstration, akin to an art performance. This demonstration operates in a structured manner that triggers curiosity and interest from the public. We attempt to lead bystanders to a vegan conclusion through a combination of local standard-practice animal exploitation footage and outreach conversations with a value-based coaching approach.
This WTF event is not a Diamond event; we will be giving away plant-based milk instead to show people how delicious and nutritious this type of milk is in reality. This event runs from 2 – 4 pm, followed by Chalking from 4 – 5 pm.
We would love for everyone that wants a branded t-shirt to be able to have one!
To buy merch, go to http://gear.activism.wtf – all branded clothing is sold at only a small surplus above cost price, with the extra set aside to help an activist who can’t afford a t-shirt. If you want a t-shirt but can’t afford one, message your organiser to request a discounted (or free) t-shirt. By buying full price gear you are supporting disadvantaged activists.
If you are able to, please bring a fully charged laptop with the following footage pre-downloaded:
Test that the footage plays properly beforehand.
If you need software to play the video, we recommend free VLC player:
Signs and resource cards to hand out will be provided.
