Toronto: Protest ExxonMobil’s Iditarod Sponsorship!

October 21, 2020 @ 11:45 am - 1:15 pm

Please join PETA and local activists at a socially distant protest of ExxonMobil’s sponsorship of the deadly Iditarod dog race. Over 150 dogs have died in this cruel race, and in just the last decade, dogs forced to run in the Iditarod have died from heart attacks, internal bleeding, inhaling their own vomit, and being buried alive in snow.
This protest is part of the launch of PETA’s campaign against ExxonMobil’s complicity in this cruelty as one of the race’s last major sponsors. The dogs need all of our voices to stand up against their suffering and deaths at the Iditarod. Please make this event a priority to show ExxonMobil that dogs are not ours to use and abuse for entertainment!
WHEN: Wednesday, October 21, 11:45 am to 1 pm
As an ExxonMobil affiliate, MOBIL is the target of this protest.

Note: We will be taking precautions to ensure safe social distancing during this action. All activists are asked to maintain a distance of 6 ft. from each other and wear a protective face mask. Posters will be provided.
Dogs, just like those who may share our homes, deserve far better than a lifetime of isolation at the end of a chain, along with the cruelty and suffering that’s involved in training for and running in the Iditarod. Please make sure to come out to this event and please bring as many friends and family members as you can!
