Toronto Fish Save St. Lawrence Market Vigil

January 12 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Please join Toronto Fish Save outside St. Lawrence market on Saturday, January 12 from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. St. Lawrence Market sells dead animals, including aquatic creatures, to shoppers. We will stand outside the entrance with signs, letting shoppers and the St. Lawrence Market know that the oppression of any species isn’t acceptable. 🐠❤️

Toronto Fish Save vigils are different from vigils held at slaughterhouses for terrestrial animals. We focus on locations where the oppression and exploitation of aquatic animals occurs in various forms. Grocery stores, fish farms, aquariums and zoos, “seafood” festivals, pet stores, hunting and fishing conventions are examples of places where Toronto Fish Save will host vigils and do outreach.
