The judge delayed the sentencing so this event has been cancelled.
Please join us in expressing our solidarity with the “Porgreg 12”, twelve brave, selfless advocates, so named for the actions they took in December 2019 of exposing the horrors going on behind closed doors at the Porgreg pig farm in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. Just some food, conversation, and a short street demonstration.

This Friday, May 26th, 2023, 11 of the original 12 will stand before a judge who holds their sentencing fate in his hands for their convictions of break and enter and obstructing police. Porgreg was never charged, despite the despicable conditions in which these animals were being kept, including pigs overcrowded in manure-filled pens, piglets wallowing in feces, an infestation of insects, and a sick and dying pig sorely in need of veterinary care or euthanasia. However, Porgreg has been, in effect, shut down, which is a win.
In attendance will be Jenny McQueen, but we send our respect, love, and support across the miles to Natalie Bartosek, Jenny Donovan, Shay Lee, Val Erie, Cassey Phaneuf, Lison Primas Fournerie, Anne Val, Anne Shaughnessy, Sarah Wells, and one other who prefers to remain nameless, will also hold space in our hearts.
