Marshall Volunteer Training

July 28, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

If you have wanted to ramp up your activism level by taking responsibility for others, this training is for you! Join us to learn how to keep large groups safe and organized for effective actions.

Through this short, important workshop, we will learn about body language, how to use effective communication and create a plan of action for the upcoming Official Animal Rights March. Street marshall roles will be assigned on this day – please do everything you can to make it to this event!

Co-facilitating are Peter McQueen and Sara Bobara. Peter co-founded VegFest in 1985, is a regular volunteer with the Toronto Vegetarian Association and has been elected the lead marshall of several actions in the Toronto area. Sara Bobara is an organizer for the Official Animal Rights March and has field experience as a marshall during mass actions, including marshalling the Reichardt Duck Farm lockdown and rescue where nearly 100 activists were arrested fighting for animal rights. Join us!
