London Cow Save Dairy Protest
October 27, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Please join us to bear witness and bring awareness to the animals used and exploited in our city. Bring signs if you’d like (peaceful messages only please), your camera, and most importantly your HEART. Be sure to wear weather appropriate clothing. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at any time.
London Dairy is located just outside the Forest City limits on old Victoria Road. This is a business very proud of the fact that 400-500 calves are born here monthly as part of their “replacement dairy cattle program”. That’s 400-500 mothers every month, forced to become pregnant without their consent and give birth to an infant – which they instinctively bond with – only to have torn away from them to have her milk then sold to us instead of her babies.
As part of The Save Movement, we see “spent” dairy cows arriving to be killed at slaughterhouses all across Ontario – their udders still dripping with milk. Babies are killed for veal as a result of the dairy industry.
All of it is unnecessary.
Please share this event, ‘invite’ Facebook users and bring family and friends with you. The more people we have, the more of an impact we can make. But, big or small turnout, an impact will be made.
2:00 PM – 4:00PM: If you are able to provide transportation, please use this page to create discussion about carpooling.
We will gather at the side of the road next to the calf crates at London Dairy.
Please park along the side of the road as much out of the way of traffic as possible. Please form a single line of cars and if you are the last person in the lane have your four way lights on.
We are a love-based group who believe that we can achieve more through compassion than through force. This includes anger vocalized to truck drivers/workers etc. Although we are all angry at the unnecessary violence, we gather to show empathy for the animals, spread compassion, and raise awareness. ♥
