CALL TO ACTION: Sustainable Agriculture Strategy Submission – Add Your Voice!

Canadians For Responsible Food Policy is calling on all members of the public and organizations concerned with the current food system and its impact on the environment, human health, biodiversity, water and soil health, to submit a response to the Government’s call for Consultation on their Sustainable Agriculture Strategy.

From the Canadian Government:
What is the Sustainable Agriculture Strategy (SAS)?

A long-term plan that will help bring together action on priority environment and climate issues in the agriculture sector.

Shared direction and vision for collective action to improve environmental performance and enhanced resilience to climate change in the agriculture sector.

A key resource for the Canadian agriculture sector to take action on environmental and climate issues while providing the vital role of responding to growing demands for healthy and affordable food and supporting economic growth.

Our team at CRFP has worked diligently to make your submission as easy as possible.
You have two options – you can do one, or both!
1. Fill out the online survey at https://agriculture.canada.ca/en/department/transparency/public-opinion-research-consultations/sustainable-agriculture-strategy/document

and/or

2. Submit a letter directly to aafc.sas-sad.aac@agr.gc.ca

For the first option, CRFP has created a multi-page document filled with potential ideas for answering the online form. Please DO NOT COPY THE ANSWERS – paraphrase, ONLY. Copying will make ALL Submissions null.

For the first AND second option, we have set up THREE “SAS Participation Parties” to be held on Zoom, on THREE separate dates, so that we can assist you and submit our responses together.
