Admission is FREE! (Donations to VegOttawa are appreciated and will be accepted at the door.) \nThis will be VegOttawa’s second veg fest in recent history\, after a successful re-launch in 2025. Historically\, thousands of people from across the city and beyond have gathered at annual veg fests to try new foods\, meet new people\, and learn from leaders in the movement. With plant-based foods more popular than ever before\, this event is one you won’t want to miss. \nThis one-day event will bring together a diverse audience—from seasoned vegans to the veg-curious—for a fun\, informative\, and engaging experience. DESCRIPTION:Description\nThis training is ideal for those who advocate on behalf of nonhuman animals to friends\, family\, and strangers. \nIn this training you will learn: \n\nHow to avoid debates and arguments\nHow to reduce defensiveness in others\nHow to manage other people’s egos\nHow to help people explore their values (what questions to ask)\nHow to help people align their actions with their values\n\nThe training will be approximately 2 hours\, followed by a 1-hour Q and A session. \nto avoid time discrepancies\, confirm the time here – Timezones \nAbout the Facilitator: \nJen is the Community Director at We The Free and has had a dedicated presence in the animal rights movement for 8 years. Jen has actively explored various advocacy methods\, ultimately finding the coaching approach to be the most impactful. Her deep understanding of effective communication has proven invaluable in helping individuals explore their values and align their actions with compassion for nonhuman animals. \nProven to be the most effective way to inspire behaviour change in others\, the skills taught in this training will increase the percentage of people who go vegan\, or take steps toward going vegan\, after speaking with you.
